Intro to Character Design

Here are some assignments from my intro to character design class with David Colman at CDA. As with every class I take at CDA I learn a ton of new stuff and David is a great teacher. I was exploring different head shapes with the cowboys and the other assignment was to design a villain based on Pierce Brosnan's voice.

Figure Drawing Log 11/15/11

This first drawing was a 40 min pose. I thought my lay in was pretty good so I decided to finish it further at home. I think I like the original lay in drawing better than the more finished one.... Thoughts?

Head Drawings

I did these during my downtime at work, looking at interesting faces on the web. Trying to exaggerate and push the shapes.
