Gallery Girls Life Drawing "Beach Theme"

Attended a Gallery Girls drawing session this past Friday for the first time. It's another cool venue to practice some life drawings with attractive models. Will definitely be attending more of these in the future. I used Prisma Markers again on paper and am pretty satisfied with the results. Gotta find a way to scan my drawings though cause I think I'm losing something using the still camera.

Figure Drawing Log 8/10/09

More figure drawings I did at Pollen Nation in Long Beach. This is always a fun life drawing workshop to attend because its such a chill environment with cool ambient music playing in the background. Theres always something different in each session ie interesting props or multiple models on stage. This last session the model Christine, was using a bridge built by the organizer, so she was able to bust out some interesting poses. The last pose was a 20 min pose with the model and a volunteer from the group doing a dynamic action pose. I had so much fun with that drawing that I decided to finish it up a bit back home.

Dr Sketchys Session 004

Attended another session of Dr Sketchys this past Sunday, and I do think this may be my favorite drawing workshop. The models are very interesting to draw (plus they're burlesque models) and the environment is just so chill. That night it was all about experimentation, I wanted to implement color in my drawings, so I bought a couple prisma color markers and went to town. I am fairly satisfied with the results and going definitely be using them in the sessions to come.
